New tyre portal has US$5 million tyre stock, offering an extensive range at competitive prices

TyreQueen, a brand new tyre portal which offers motorists an extensive range of tyres at affordable prices, has recently been launched.

Boasting more than 20 different brands of tyres, consumers will be able to choose from high-performance tyres to mass-market options for replacement due to wear and tear.

The portal, which carries a total of US$5 million worth of tyre stock, is established by Ms Valerie Tan, CEO of TyreQueen.

Truly the Queen of Tyres

Ms Tan, who started with running a parallel import car business, has streamlined her business to focus on car exportation in recent years.

Because of this, TyreQueen is able to tap into the automobile group’s vast network to source for quality tyres globally at competitive prices.

Offline, TyreQueen is already supplying tyres to businesses and transport firms with large fleets of vehicles.

Some of the tyre brands found on TyreQueen’s site include: Continental, Pirelli, Michelin, Bridgestone, Goodyear, and Yokohama,
to mass-market brands like Toyo and Kumho.

Added Convenience

Once purchases are made online, consumers get a choice to have the tyres delivered to their billing address, preferred workshop, or several other established workshops in different parts of Singapore carefully selected and appointed by TyreQueen.

The portal just launched its first tyre workshop at The Grandstand on Turf Club Road on Sep 1. The second workshop, opening in December this year, will be situated at First East Centre. Consumers will need to pay for the labour cost at these workshops to have their tyres fitted.

The Queen is Confident

Ms Tan is positive about consumers’ response to the new portal. She says, “With the current market the trend has already shifted from changing cars every few years, to avoid the hassles of maintenance, to taking care of your existing car well so that it can be driven for a few more years without giving you a headache.”

“With the cost of car ownership the way it is now, we feel that our value proposition of quality tyres at affordable cost will ease the burden of many motorists,” she adds.

The e-commerce website offers various payment methods such as instalment payment offered by financial institutions for convenience.

Expanding the Empire

TyreQueen plans to expand its reach. Some of the key regional markets earmarked for expansion into include Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar.

In addition to tyres, it will also be selling tyre rims online to complete its offerings.

On top of variety and cost transparency, the portal will also be big on consumer education.

Says Ms Tan, “I believe there is room for industry players like us to take the lead in consumer education on tyre selection and safety. We will be having such content on our portal to make it more relevant to our motorists.”

TyreQueen’s workshop at The Grandstand (210 Turf Club Road) operates daily from 9am to 9pm. The second workshop at First East Centre (10 Kaki Bukit Road 2, #01-08) will be operating from December.
