Congratulations are in the order for newlyweds Prince Henry of Wales and Ms Meghan Markle of Crenshaw! Oh wait, we mean the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – the new titles bestowed to them as a royal couple. How’s that for your first tidbit from what-could-be the wedding of the century?
After a babble of sensationalised scandals from Markle’s family, the couple has finally tied the knot on 19 May 2018, in the Church of St. George of Windsor. Not only was it witnessed by an estimated 600 attendees, the world also watched the live broadcast of the ceremony through the television screens.
The wedding can be said to a grand affair of many firsts, starting with the blushing bride herself – the first mixed-race American to be part of the esteemed royal family of greats.
So whether you gleaned through its highlights on social media or held a viewing party of the entire procession with your equally crazed buddies, the royal wedding is filled with deliberate symbols and easter eggs that many may only appreciate on the surface.
