We’re forming a team and naming ourselves Rogue Run
This year’s Star Wars Day is about to get cosmically exciting for fans of the epic space saga. As part of the “May the 4th” celebrations, the Star Wars Run Singapore 2017 will be held on 6 May at the Marina Bay waterfront.
The night run will be split into two distances: 4.5km or 10km. Participants for the shorter distance can choose between joining the Rebellion on the Light side or walk in Darth Vader’s footsteps on the Dark side. The 10km run will be a competitive route.
Early bird rates are available from now to 12 Mar, with 4.5km passes going at $70 and 10km at $75. Normal registration will commence from 13 Mar to 17 Apr at $80 and $85 respectively.
Participants who choose the Light Side will be given a race pack including a drawstring bag, towel, Yoda plush toy, participant’s tee and a limited-edition commemorative medal. Instead of the Yoda toy, those on the Dark Side will receive a Darth Vader plush toy.
Whichever path you choose, all routes will offer Star Wars-themed surprises along the way that will take runners through four decades of the film franchise.
From 4pm, the fun continues at the race village with various Star Wars-themed activities. The event also marks the 40th anniversary of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.
