The days fly by so fast, it's almost National Day again! It's a special year as Singapore celebrates its bicentennial year - 200 years since Raffles arrived on our shores in 1819. To mark the historical occasion, the National Day Parade returns to the Padang on 9 August. Don't have a ticket to NDP? No problem! 9. Heritage Hurray! at Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall
National Day is the perfect time to immerse ourselves in our rich heritage. Embark on the cultural journey at Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, which is organising Heritage Hurray! 传统文化，加油！from 9 to 10 August. Show some support for both local and overseas artisans at the curated community art market, and then get hands-on yourself at the interactive craft workshops led by the artisans. Go on fun heritage trails around Balestier to discover the lesser known stories of the precinct, and take your kids along for the storytelling sessions by local authors. All participants of Heritage Hurray! will also stand to receive a National Day Fun Pack.
