CHAGEE Brings The Little Prince to Life with a New Matcha Collection in Singapore

Matcha gets a storybook twist this September as CHAGEE teams up with The Little Prince for a whimsical new collection of matcha drinks and limited-edition merchandise.

Available across Singapore from 4 September 2026, the collaboration brings together CHAGEE’s signature matcha drinks with familiar imagery from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s beloved tale, creating a collection that feels equal parts nostalgic and playful.

At the heart of the launch is, naturally, the matcha. CHAGEE says the tea leaves used for the collection come from the first spring harvest, when younger leaves are picked for their softer flavour and vibrant character. The plants are shaded for more than 20 days before harvesting, a traditional process that limits sunlight exposure and encourages the leaves to develop a deeper green colour and richer umami notes.

The leaves are then finely milled into an ultra-fine powder, which CHAGEE says reaches 1000 mesh. The result is designed to give the drinks a smoother texture, letting the clean, grassy character of matcha come through without too much graininess.

Four Matcha Drinks to Try

The new CHAGEE x The Little Prince matcha collection features four drinks, ranging from familiar favourites to more unexpected combinations.

For those who like their matcha straightforward, the Signature Matcha Latte offers a creamy, classic option, with an additional matcha shot available for a more intense tea flavour.

The Jasmine Matcha Pure Tea takes a lighter approach, layering fragrant jasmine notes over the earthy character of matcha. Meanwhile, the Chocolate Cookie Matcha Frappe goes in a decidedly more indulgent direction, combining matcha with chocolate and cookie flavours for something closer to a dessert in a cup.

Then there is the drink likely to spark the most curiosity: the Lime Cheese Matcha Latte.

This limited-time creation brings together earthy matcha, aromatic lime and a creamy cheese element. The combination of acidity and richness gives the drink a surprisingly layered profile, while an additional Cheese Cap can be added for an even creamier finish.

It might sound like an unusual matcha pairing, but that is also part of its appeal. Matcha has increasingly moved beyond the classic latte, finding its way into combinations with fruit, chocolate, cream and even savoury elements. The result is a new generation of matcha drinks that treat the tea almost like a blank canvas for experimentation.

CHAGEE’s collection, however, still keeps matcha firmly in the spotlight. Rather than completely covering its natural vegetal and slightly bitter notes, the accompanying flavours are designed to complement the tea and give each drink a different personality.

A Matcha Moment Inspired by The Little Prince

The collaboration also taps into something that feels particularly fitting about matcha: the idea of slowing down.

For many, a matcha latte has become more than just a caffeine fix. The preparation, the colour and even the ritual of sitting down with a drink can offer a small pause in an otherwise busy day. That sense of curiosity, simplicity and reflection is also woven through The Little Prince, giving the collaboration a softer, more nostalgic feel.

Beyond the drinks, fans of the classic story can also look out for limited-edition CHAGEE x The Little Prince merchandise, featuring recognisable motifs from the beloved book. The collectibles add another layer to the collaboration, turning what could have been a seasonal drink launch into a wider lifestyle moment.

The CHAGEE x The Little Prince Matcha Series is available across Singapore from 4 September 2026 for a limited time, with selected limited-edition merchandise available alongside the drinks.
