L’Occitane’s Pop-Up Café Debuts In Singapore This Week

There’ll be botanical shampoos, floral-scented hand creams, and a couple of bon bons
There’s only one other L’Occitane’s café in the world, and it overlooks the scrambling crosswalk outside Shibuya station in Japan.
Elsewhere in Paris, the French brand has collaborated with “Picasso of pastries” Pierre Hermé to open a sprawling 10,000-square-foot lifestyle concept store on Avenue des Champs-Élysées, featuring an essential oils distillery, a restaurant, a coffee and cocktail bar.
And soon, Singapore can have a bite of L’Occitane’s French pastry with the launch of its cafe concept this week.
Here from 3 to 16 July, the pop-up cafe is set to offer sweet treats crafted by homegrown dessert whiz Janice Wong, who was chosen fittingly for her discipleship with the great Pierre Hermé himself. She will send forth a lineup of bons bons, macarons and desserts using ingredients found in L’Occitane products such as verbenas, bergamots, roses and almonds. Complete with coffee and tea, the cafe is limited in its seating, but takeaway options are available.
Delicate French morsels aside, the cafe offers the full ‘Provence experience” where visitors can explore the L’Occitane’s turf of Provence via a fragrance experiential area, skincare and body care texture bar, and a giddying VR immersion that transports the users to the landscapes of the French countryside.
The L’Occitane pop-up café is located at ION Orchard Level 1 Atrium from 3 to 16 July.
