It has certainly transformed from a fishing settlement to become truly remarkable bringing its own flavour with ultra modernisation and luxury in the whole of Middle East. 5. For the history buffs
There are many museums and heritage sites for you to check out but they are best explored on foot. Begin your journey by visiting the Dubai Museum to learn about how it transformed from a fishing village to the highly established cosmopolitan city that it is today. From the museum, you can head towards the multi-domed Grand Mosque, and the vibrant alleyway of little shops is one that should not be missed. One of the most famous tourist spots is the Sheikh Saeed al Maktoum House which was the former home of Dubai’s ruling Maktoum dynasty. You can end the journey by taking the traditional Abra, a water taxi to experience the Dubai Creek which is also the historic focal point in Dubai.
