3. Taste the island’s fine wines
You’d know its top-notched wines when vineyards are grown on rich volcanic soil. At Santorini, specifically the areas of Pyrgos and Emporeio village, you’ll find an array of vineyards and wineries all offering liquid golds of Assyrtiko (white) and Mavrotragano (red) for your indulgences. To start off, head to Santowines Winery – it is said to be the most famous in the area. Now, you can superimpose yourself in a backdrop of leafy vineyard, but you can never do so for your tastebuds!
