China boasts many unique and picturesque landscapes, one of which is the untouched Zhangye Danxia Landform in Gansu Province.

Formed by red sandstone beds — a combination of erosion and uplift — the Danxia Landform flaunts a majestic kaleidoscope of multi-coloured slopes, which give you the feeling of stepping into a colouring book.

The best time to visit is from June to September, when the combination of sun and rain best brings out the vibrancy of colours on the landform.
