Imagine being surrounded by endless blue skies, fresh cool air and beds of blooming seasonal flowers. This beautiful natural wonder actually exists at Hitachi Seaside Park.

Sprawled out over 470 acres, the public park in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki, Japan, is famous for the 4.5 million Nemophila that bloom around April and May.

Visit the park during the year-end and you can spot red Kochia, Cosmos, Nippon daises and more.

Apart from flowers, visitors can also look forward to activities like a kids’ roller coaster, water playground and labyrinth garden.

The closest major train station to the park is Katsuta, which is about a one-and-a-half hour railway ride from Narita Airport. The park is a 15-minute car ride from Katsuta.
