Make the most memories within the 70km pristine coastline
Before we headed for the Gold Coast, we thought of the sunny region as a good one- or two-days trip East while visiting the major cities like Melbourne and Sydney. But our five-day stay showed us that the Gold Coast abounds in gorgeous beaches, fun activities and exquisite eats, definitely not enough for just one or two days! We’ve put together the most unique parts of our experience, marked out by how each activity suits certain types of travel personalities, to help you get the most out of the huge and diverse Gold Coast. Check out our highlights video at the end for a better look at all the fun we had!
Feel the sand between your toes
If you just love kicking it back on the beach more than anywhere, you’ll be spoiled for choice at the Gold Coast. A metropolitan region south of Brisbane on Australia’s east coast, the Gold Coast is famed for their beautiful, long and white sandy beaches. Great for surfing, picnics, kayaking, or just sitting back and relaxing, the beaches guarantee a lovely time with your loved ones.
An enjoyable journey to the Gold Coast starts from the flight. Our trip got off to an excellent start thanks to Scoot's new ScootinSilence experience onboard the 787 Dreamliner. For those travelling solo or just without kids, the ScootinSilence cabin is a godsend. No kids under 12 are allowed there, so you can banish your fears of screaming children on the plane ruining your beauty sleep. We also got lots of legroom in the S-T-R-E-T-C-H seats to recline. For this level of comfort, we can't believe we were on a budget airline! Our journey around Gold Coast continued to be just as smooth-sailing in the hands of world-class service staff everywhere, and world-class views of both the dazzling city and calming nature in one!
