Challenge yourself by climbling Mount Kinabalu – the tallest peak in Southeast Asia. The hike is intense (spans over a day to two), but rewarding. Ascending the peak requires no specilized mountain climbing skills but hey, it always pays to be fit.

Chiang Mai – Night Bazaars

From $129, Tiger Air. Promotion ends when sold out.

Nothing beats shopping for a bargain more than in the famous Chiang Mai Night Bazaars. Popular Night Bazaars there also include the Kalare Night Bazaar and Asunarm Markets. Find a variety of brand name designer goods (both real and fake), local Thai goods and local handicrafts at really low prices. Remember to bargain for your purchases – it is almost expected of shoppers to do so and the locals are always ready to fight back and haggle. Just so you know, bargaining is almost a national sport in Thailand.

Macau – Macau Tower Bungee Jump

From $140, Tigerair. Promotion ends when sold out.

What’s the fastest way to descend 233m? By leaping off it, of course. Fear knows no bounds here. The AJ Hackett Macau Tower Bungee Jump is 233m/764ft high, holding the record for the Highest Commercial Bungee Jump in the world. Any higher you’ll have to be parachuting off a helicopter. Come plunge a free fall at a speed of up to 200km/h for the ultimate extreme journey. If it comforts you at all, it’ll all end in about 5 seconds.

Jinan – Thousand Buddha Mountain

From $155, Tigerair. Promotion ends when sold out.

What goes up, must come down. The Thousand Buddha Mountain is almost your typical Chinese mountain, with a temple situated right on top, with trails of Chinese architecture and stairs eventually leading to a huge statue of Buddha.

But here comes the fun part – there is a slide to use on your way down. I have always thought that the slides at our own playgrounds end to soon. This – is a 600m long slide. I appreciate the help in the descend back on ground level.
