Trying to find a nice white sandy beach getaway that won't break the bank can feel like a mere dream for some. But a great find lies in Cambodia, in the islands that dot Sihanoukville — in fact, you can probably save more money than you'd expect.

Koh Rong is one of the more developed islands off Cambodia's coast, requiring only a short 45 minute-long boat ride. For biodiversity and amazing Instagram photos without the scary prices, here's how to have truly self-spoiling weekend here on a budget.

Beaches, seas and long island teas

The beaches, of course, don’t cost you anything, and the scenery is beyond breathtaking. In fact, there’s more than just one beach you can visit.

With over 40km of sandy shores to walk along, the sea teeming with wondrous marine life and the odd bar, Koh Rong has many spoils for the beach lover.

Koh Touch is the main area where most of the party scene is, and it’s also the first beach you see upon arrival. However, if you’re looking to get away from that vibe, it’s easy to find a quieter, more scenic beach to sunbathe on. Some can be just a 20-minute walk between each another, and others can be reached by boat from Koh Touch Pier.
