We’re dreaming of a stroll beneath the flowering Sakura trees.

There are many ways to appreciate the beauty of the Sakura season, from stretching out under the flowering branches to sipping on tea as you watch the world transform into a softer, dreamier version of itself.

But if flying to Tokyo or Vancouver during the peak cherry blossom season isn’t an option for you, you can still enjoy the season right here at Gardens By The Bay’s Blossom Beats display or via this stunning video.

Created by Tokyo filmmaker Yasunori Iwamoto, the video captures a bird’s eye view of Tokyo’s most popular spots for cherry blossom viewing (or “hanami” in Japanese). With a drone, he captures some of the 800 cherry blossom trees that straddle a 4km section of the Megurogawa river, the twin tunnels of pink flowers interrupted only by the occasional cross street.

If this doesn’t make you wish you were right there in Tokyo, we don’t know what will!
