2. Gyeongju

The former capital city of South Korea during the Silla Kingdom, Gyeongju is and still remains one of the most historical cities in South Korea, and is often referred to as “the museum without walls’ because of the many historical relics scattered around the city. History and culture buffs will love touring the Gyeongju Special Tourist Zone districts of Namsan, Wolseong, Daereungwon, Hwangryongsa and Sanseong.

Apart from visiting Namsan mountain, don’t miss out these culturally-rich attractions such as Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram Grotto, Gyeongju Folk Village, Silla Arts and Science Museum, and Goereung.
