5 Places You HAVE To Visit When You’re In Stockholm

Not just famous for their meatballs and IKEA.

I just came back from my trip to Stockholm not too long ago and was wowed by the city’s rich heritage and culture, amazing architecture and food, not to mention, friendly people. Stockholm is a city known for its modern-meets-antique-glory charm, making it a great destination for families and adventurous couples. Out of all the wonderful things I saw and experienced, I definitely tried my best to choose the 5 best places to visit when you visit this beautiful city.

(Don’t worry if you don’t speak Swedish though, everyone in Stockholm speaks English, so you can leave your translation worries at home.)

1. Fotografiska

One of my number one places to visit in Stockholm, Fotografiska,  is an entire museum dedicated to contemporary photography. In addition to photography exhibitions featuring local and international photographers, the museum also offers lectures and workshops for both amateur and professional photographers. Pop up to the cafe on the top floor and be treated to a picturesque view of Stockholm’s archipelago, or pick up a souvenir from the museum gift shop. Fotografiska is also home to an award-winning restaurant of the same name, helmed by award-winning chef, Paul Svensson, and specialises in green seasonal dishes.
