5 Places You HAVE To Visit When You’re In Stockholm

Not just famous for their meatballs and IKEA.

I just came back from my trip to Stockholm not too long ago and was wowed by the city's rich heritage and culture, amazing architecture and food, not to mention, friendly people. Stockholm is a city known for its modern-meets-antique-glory charm, making it a great destination for families and adventurous couples. Out of all the wonderful things I saw and experienced, I definitely tried my best to choose the 5 best places to visit when you visit this beautiful city.

(Don't worry if you don't speak Swedish though, everyone in Stockholm speaks English, so you can leave your translation worries at home.)

2. Skansen

Beautifully located on Royal Djurgården, Skansen brings traditional Swedish living to life with their incredible open-air museum. It is also home to the Stockholm Zoo, featuring animals native to Scandinavia. Remember to wear a pair of good walking shoes though- the terrain is mainly cobblestone paths and gravel roads, that lead you to a miniature Swedish town located right on the grounds. Experience hands-on pottery making, taste freshly baked goods from the village bakery and more. A favourite among locals and tourists, Skansen is definitely perfect for family outings.
