Auckland is an awesome and exciting city to check out when you're in New Zealand - and you do not need to burn a hole in your pocket to do so.
Nicknamed the ‘City of Sails’, Auckland is a gorgeous seaside city surrounded by cerulean blue waters. With fantastic views, lush greenery, museums and other luxuries, even the budget-conscious traveller is spoilt for choice.
Here are 15 things you should check out if you're looking out for some cheap thrills (literally):
2. Fly off the Sky Tower
Standing at an impressive 328m, the Sky Tower is the most iconic building of Auckland’s skyline. At 192m off the ground, you can enjoy some grand panoramic shots of the city.
But if you’re up for more adventure, the Sky Tower also provides adrenaline-pumping activities such as the SkyWalk – where you can walk on a platform at the top of the tower – and the SkyJump, where you can bungy jump off the tower.
Admission costs NZ$28 NZD (about $27.40) per adult, NZ$11 per child and is free for children below six years of age.
