Buckle up guys – indie-folk singer Passenger is coming to perform in Singapore in January 2017. Best known for the worldwide hit “Let Her Go”, Passenger is a one-man band consisting of English crooner Michael David Rosenberg. He will perform on 13 Jan, 2017, at The Star Theatre.

There, you can fall in love with Passenger’s poignant lyrics as he belts out his reflective indie-folk music in what’s promised to be an intimate and memorable concert.

“Let Her Go” has recently joined YouTube’s Billion View Club, making it the 23rd music video to do so.  Other hits from Passenger include “Somebody’s Love,” (from his latest album “Young as the Morning, Old as the Sea”), “Heart’s on Fire,” “The Wrong Direction” and “All the Little Lights.”

Rosenberg co-founded Passenger as a five-piece band in 2003. It released one album before breaking up in 2009, after which Rosenberg decided to stick to the name for his solo act. During this time, he was busking on street corners to make ends meet.

He moved to Australia in 2009 and made his biggest breakthrough in 2012 with his third album, “All the Little Lights” – which includes “Let Her Go”.

On his success, Rosenberg told Radio.com, “It gets so ridiculous that you don’t take it in anymore. I remember when it hit a million and that blew my mind. I couldn’t believe it. I write folk music. I’m a busker… I don’t know how to put it into words anymore. I’ve tried for the last year and it’s just baffling to me. Baffling and bewildering and brilliant. I’m very lucky that everything clicked into place.”

Passenger will perform live in Singapore on 13 Jan, 2017, at The Star Theatre. Tickets go on sale from 20 Sep. More information here.
