Mercedes Benz’s brand re-launch for new eyewear collection

Mercedes-Benz Style presents the latest eyewear collection and the brand re-launch at Marina@Keppel Bay today

Hosted by Sin Kwang Optical, the official and sole distributor of the eyewear in Singapore and Malaysia. The re-launched Mercedes-Benz Style Eyewear Collection by Mercedes-Benz Style distills the essence of the brand down to design fundamentals without the need for the Mercedes-Benz logo, while still effervescent with the luxurious spirit of Mercedes-Benz from the frame to the temples.

The re-launch collection blends progressive design and innovative function into one, through a unique combination of innovative matte surfaces, extremely light materials, interesting colors and patterns, and a patented ‘double-action spring hinge’. The new design makes a strong and dynamic statement and provides a more comfortable wearing experience and durability.

Designed and developed by Rodenstock together with Mercedes-Benz designers, this new collection consists of 24 models. Crafted out of ultra light stainless steel and robust high performance polyamide, and held together without any screw, the MBS 6034 frame trumped over 1,800 manufacturers from 53 nations, and approximately 4,800 product designs to win the “Red Dot for High Design Quality” Award.

The new eyewear collection will be available exclusively at retail stores from September 2014 onwards.
