Cheap Eats In The CBD: Kraftwich

Hearty sandwiches, vibrant salads and good coffee

It’s hard to miss Kraftwich if you’re a frequent purveyor of the One Raffle Place Food Hall. The new cafe boasts a chic interior that you would be happy to have coffee meetings in or a leisurely lunch break.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the new concept store by Swissbake serves nutritious meals like the signature handcrafted Kraftwich, gourmet sandwiches available in eight different varieties.

Crafted for enjoyment

Smoked Salmon Kraftkorn_1

The Smoked Salmon Kraftwich is less than 500 calories but will still keep you full until dinner.

Priced at $8.90, each Kraftwich is made with mineral-rich yet low-calorie bread. It is packed with your choice of protein. I recommend the Smoked Duck, Portobello and Smoked Salmon Kraftwiches as they are more robust in taste, holding their own between the rather thick slices of bread.

For people looking to go carb-free, turn your Kraftwich into a salad with the same protein toppings. Alternatively, you can “Kraft Your Salad” ($7.90), giving you a choice of five regular toppings served on top of a bed of greens.

For more of a splurge, you can also order one of Kraftwich’s Warm Salads. The Warm Salmon Salad is a definite winner with its generous slice of Salmon doused in a herb mayo dressing.

Have a coffee break

Kraftwich is also a great spot to gather with friends for a cup of coffee. The Salted Caramel Coffee, in particular, is worth a try. The sweet and rich blend will instantly perk you up during that post-lunch slump.

Kraftwich proves that having a healthy meal in the CBD does not need to be expensive. They are even open during the weekend for fitness junkies to grab a wholesome meal after their gym sessions.
