Get a head start on the cinema crowd

Is the book always better than the movie? Whatever you think, we recommend both reading the book and seeing the film version. Some of the best, most classic movies came from books, and 2019 will continue to release lots of book-to-movie adaptations. If you love seeing a story you only imagined come to life on the big screen, and being in the know about what upcoming movies are worth catching, good news – you have lots of time to read up on these books before they become hit movies next year!

1. “The Nightingale” by Kristin Hannah

Film rights to mega-bestselling historical fiction novel was snagged long ago in 2015, so we’re very excited the release date is finally set for January 2019! Inspired by true events of the French Resistance during World War II, the story follows two very different sisters, Vianne and Isabelle, trying to not just survive, but also fight back in Nazi-occupied France. Michelle MacLaren, whose credits include Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad, will be directing the movie adaptation.

Expected Release: January 2019
