10 minutes is all you need to look as though you have just walked out of Photoshop and Meitu.
It is true when people say that there is no turning back once you have had your first procedure done. I did my Nose Fillers with Celebrity Doctor, Dr. Gerard Ee last year and I thought to myself “mmmm.. the results look so good. Perhaps I should go back again for more!”
According to Fengshui, a plumper face represents wealth and fortune but when it comes to taking pictures… mmm.. maybe not.
I have always relied on Photoshop and Meitu for that V-Shaped face look but Dr. Ee suggested me to go for Chin Fillers (下巴玻尿酸填充) and Jaw Botox (肉毒素瘦脸) instead.
Why these two procedures? It is because the V-shaped face is always associated with a sharper chin and a more defined jawline.
He started the procedures by making a few injection points in the area that needs to be corrected.
The results from chin fillers are immediate. Not only does the fillers allow us to achieve a V-shaped face, but it also corrects retracted chins and improve facial proportions. I could barely feel anything when the needle went in. Pain score? Maybe 1 out of 10. I was told that chin fillers can last for eight months to a year and if you are not satisfied with the filler, you can even dissolve it!
Jaw botox is commonly done to slim the face. Jaw botox causes the masseter muscles to weaken and shrink in size. The masseter muscles are located at the angle of the jaw. Some people do jaw botox every six months because they have severe bruxism (teeth grinding) which causes wear and tear to their teeth. As for me, I did it for vanity reason. I have a squarish face and I hope to achieve a slimmer face. Jaw botox is a painless procedure.
Unlike the chin fillers, jaw botox can only last for four to six months. However, it depends on your muscle size and the degree of use. It can last up to a year for some people.
After injecting the fillers, the perfect face shape of your dreams appears. Plus, there’s no downtime, which makes it fuss-free. All these procedures took no more than ten minutes. They may look very straightforward but it takes years of experience to know how much fillers or botox one needs. You do not want to end up looking fake or plastic.
This is me, 1 month after the treatments! Just do a comparison, my face is definitely more V now.
One extremely important tip: It is important to do enough research on your doctor and clinic before fixing an appointment.
