Rock the Glen Plaid print

You might be surprised to know that Glen Plaid (short for Glen Urquhart Plaid) isn’t named after a person but a place. Its name originated from the valley of Glenurquhart in Scotland, where the Countess of Seafield of the 19th Century used the patterned check to dress her gamekeepers. It was popularised by King Edward VIII back when he was still the Prince of Wales, which is why it can also sometimes be referred to as the Prince of Wales check.

With those roots in aristocracy, you’ll be bringing out the regality when your shoulders are draped in a timeless Glen Plaid-printed coat. And if you’re up for it, why not slip into an entire ensemble in that print? We bet you’ll turn heads.
