A Magic Peel for Smoother Skin
Theresa Beauty, a homegrown business helmed by a mother and daughter team, recently launched a 75-minute Intensive Magic Peel Treatment, which promises to exfoliate deeply but gently.
Curious to see what this new treatment could do for my skin, I decided to experience it for myself.
My facial session started with double cleansing. Under the skilful hands of madam Theresa herself, all traces of makeup were gently taken off my face.
After which, 6 per cent AHA fluid was applied to exfoliate, moisturise, firm and whiten my skin, while boosting its natural regeneration process. A slight tingling sensation could be felt as the multi-action cream was applied.
Soothed and Moisturised
For better absorption of the products, a facial steamer was used. The hot steam lulled me to sleep and I didn’t wake up until halfway through the extraction.
Knowing I had a rather low threshold for pain, my aesthetician was especially gentle with the extraction process, nudging my nose bridge as lightly as she could to remove blackheads.
Finally, my skin was soothed with an exfoliating lotion and massaged with the Exfo Line mask, which is said to aid the skin’s natural defense system and repair DNA damage of skin cells.
For a final pampering touch, hyaluronic acid serum was applied to restore my skin’s moisture balance. Immediately after, my skin felt plump and moisturised.
Plus, the pores in my T-Zone also looked smaller than before.
