It's official — Singaporeans are addicted to Pokémon Go. How else can you explain the hordes of people roaming parks and streets at odd hours of the day, eyes glued to their screens?

Here are the best in-game tips and tricks we've gathered:

8. Use Incense wisely

Unless you’re a full-time Pokémon Master (not quite likely considering our growing phone data bills), you’ll do well to use items like the Incense to lure Pokémon to a stationary spot. A glowing purple ring around your avatar indicates that it’s in effect, and before long, these critters will be popping up around you.

Bonus tip: Want your Incense to work even harder for you? Try moving around while it’s in use — one Pokémon is spawned every minute or every 200 metres you travel.

9. Evolve your Pokémon for full health

If your poor Pokémon has taken a fair bit of battering thanks to gym sessions, here’s an easy way to get them back to full health while evolving them too!

In emergency scenarios where you need your best fighter to be at full health, try feeding candies and applying stardust to the unconscious Pokémon. This allows for the possibility of evolution to be initiated, resulting in revival to full health as well.
