Review: Hourglass 1.5mm Mechanical Gel Eye Liner

#146_shop_Hourglass-1

The Hourglass 1.5mm Mechanical Gel Eye Liner ($25) is, as the name suggests, a mechanical pencil with a 1.5mm tip that dispenses waterproof gel eyeliner.

Its thin tip ensures effortless control for lining in between lashes, by offering precision and ease of application.

With an even consistency, it glided across my eyelid, allowing me to easily attain a winged look. The only drawback is that the mechanical pencil does not retract, so try not to dispense more than what you need.

Review: Moonshot Line Performer Liquid

Moonshot’s Line Performer Liquid ($32) creates precise lines with a single stroke, allowing one to easily achieve either a bold and dramatic look or a classic cat eye.

What I really liked about this liner was its ease of application — I barely encountered any smudges. Its fine tip also worked well together with eyeshadow and mascara, with a fast-drying, long-lasting formula to boot.

Review: Marc Jacobs Feather Noir Ultra-Skinny Lash Discovering Mascara

Inspired by the soft texture of feathers, Marc Jacobs Feather Noir Ultra-Skinny Lash Discovering Mascara ($38) was created to transform straight lashes into long and luxurious ones.

The mascara’s ultra-skinny brush managed to define and lengthen almost every lash, allowing me to achieve curled and voluminous lashes with little effort. Its winning features include being smudge-proof and clump-free.

Review: Sephora The Mascara

#146_shop_Sephora-The-Mascara

The Mascara ($25) from Sephora features a lightweight formula and is designed to coat the eyelashes, boost their volume and lengthen them, all at once. It promises 106 per cent more volume and length after ten coats.

A little goes a long way — all it took was a few strokes of the brush for my lashes to look significantly longer. However, The Mascara wasn’t as long-wearing as I’d expected it to be. It left tiny smudges around my eyes as the day went by.
