Tired from standing all day at work? Relax with this special pedicure ($195 for 60 minutes) from Remede Spa. It’s designed by renowned French podiatrist Bastien Gonzalez. The treatment utilises scalpels, lancets, and drills to restore soft skin and remove cuticles. The toenails are buffed with a leather nail buffer and a special paste until the nail gleams. To finish off the experience, the therapist will massage your legs and feet.

Spa Botanica in the Singapore Resort and Spa Sentosa has been given new life as So Spa by Sofitel. Its updated menu of spa treatments includes the Sentosa Massage ($180-$240 for 60 or 90 minutes), which is based on the four main cultures of Singapore where East meets West to help expel fatigue and rid the body of daily stresses. It also removes tension with effleurage strokes and meridian acupressure to drain toxins. A Kansu bowl is also used to stimulate the foot’s reflex points to eliminate ‘body heat’.

Aramsa The Garden Spa

The Tropical Java Julur ($150) treatment may be aimed at “brides-to-be”, but who says you can’t enjoy it if you aren’t getting married? The treatment begins with a full body exfoliation of turmeric and rice powder, and a yoghurt wrap is used after to brighten the skin. Then, a blend of therapeutic oils is used for the Aramsa Touch massage – a mixture of lymphatic drainage and meridian techniques. Lastly, you’ll enjoy a warm outdoor flower bath.

Qi Mantra

Is your back killing you? Perhaps you should try the Star Blast Massage ($98 for 60 min). It is a full-body acupressure massage that focuses on the knots and pains in the back and spinal area.  This deep tissue massage alleviates tension in the back, which is perfect for office workers slouched over their desks daily.

Ikeda Spa Prestige

The Japanese know a thing or two about relaxation as well. At least, they do at the Ikeda Spa Prestige. The Zen Music ZenMusicTherapy_04_noteTherapy ($180-$220 for 60 min and 90 min) composes spa music in real time, which corresponds to the movements of your therapist. They use two tiny sensors placed under an armband, and this technology is able to sense your therapist’s movements so you have a unique musical accompaniment to each massage to address your specific aches and pains.

Slathering oneself in chocolate is a spa treatment now? Count us in, please! Cocoa is said to be rich in anti-oxidants, as it increases blood circulation. This supposedly increases anti-aging benefits, and the Choco De-Ager ($355 for 2.5 hours) package includes a body polish, the Chocolatier Massage, Choc Fondue Wrap, and a Luxurious Bodylift Rub. If you’re ready for a relaxing splurge, perhaps this treatment at Estheva is for you.
