These days, nostalgia is king.

How else can you explain figments of our youth getting modern-day resurrections every so often?

Apart from cyclical fashion items like bell-bottom jeans and chokers, the tech scene has also welcomed a bunch of old-school gadgets — all revived and with good measure.

From Tamagotchis to Polaroid cameras, it’s clear from these gems that old is gold.

3. Kodak Super 8 Camera

Set to launch sometime this year, the new Super 8 Camera is at the heart of what Kodak calls the “Analogue Renaissance”.

The camera, which uses standard Super 8 50 FT / 15 M cartridges and can shoot at 18, 24, 25 or 36 FPS, also features a large flip-out 4-inch LCD screen that can be tilted 90 degrees. This shows the user what the camera is recording on film, allowing them to adjust settings easily.

In the Kodak Super 8 Camera, analogue film meets digital control in the best way possible. Users can focus manually and process the film, while relying on a built-in light meter to aid with exposure setting.

The camera will be available in white, black and special-edition gunmetal.
