Like a formidable dragon rising, a powerhouse of Asian designers are making waves across the globe.

In honour of these talents, this year’s Singapore Fashion Week will present its first-ever all-Asian designer line-up, including Chinese haute couturier Guo Pei.

Happening from 26 to 30 October, the festival will bring a host of excitement to fashion-watchers here in Singapore and globally.

1. International headliners

While last year’s stellar line up of Victoria Beckham and Diane von Furstenberg etched beautiful memories in our mind, this year’s headliners look set to impress once more.

International Highlight Shows include the celebrated Indian-American fashion designer Naeem Khan, Chinese couturier Guo Pei (pictured above as worn by Rihanna), and Malaysian-born, London-based designer Han Chong’s contemporary womenswear label Self-Portrait.

For the first time ever, the fashion week’s opening shows will be graced by a local designer, Max Tan, who is also one of the three designers selected for the 2016 Fashion Futures 2.0 programme.
