How frustrating was it last weekend, having witnessed the drama of Transfer Deadline Day but not being able to see the new signings strutting their stuff with their new clubs?

Fret not, the Barclays English Premier League (EPL) gods have heard your calls of despair and have lined up some tasty fixtures this weekend to make up for the international friendly break!

Arsenal vs Manchester City

13 Sep, 7.45pm

Manchester City stuttered against a defiant Stoke City as it lost at the Etihad in the previous match. You may not understand the severity of that statement. City almost never loses at home; much less let a goal be scored against them!

City’s got some making up to do but Arsenal will be no pushover, with former Manchester United golden boy Danny Welbeck set to make his debut for the Gunners. Arsenal drew first blood in the FA Community Shield in a 3-0 victory over City last month but the reigning champions will prove a different proposition this time around.

Prediction: Arsenal 1-1 Manchester City

Other tasty fixtures:

Chelsea vs Swansea
13 Sep, 10pm

It’s an unlikely top of the table clash with both teams having earned maximum points after three games. All that will change this weekend and it’s hard to see Chelsea not emerging as the victor.

The high-flying Swans will prove a tough test but the Blues should have more than enough ammunition to see this one out.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Swansea

Liverpool vs Aston Villa
14 Sep, 12.30am

Liverpool recovered from its defeat against Manchester City to comfortably see off the in-form Spurs in its last Premier League match. Speaking of form, Aston Villa hasn’t been doing too badly with two wins and a draw in the opening three games.

Villa will come crashing back to earth this weekend though, and it might have Mario Balotelli to blame for it.

Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Aston Villa

Manchester United vs Queens Park Rangers
14 Sep, 11pm

Hey, big spenders! All eyes will be on how Louis van Gaal will set up his team, with recent acquisitions of Radamel Falcao, Angel Di Maria, Daley Blind and Marcus Rojo all queuing up for their home debuts.

Is QPR set to face the wrath of the Red Devils, or will the over-expectation lead to yet another surprising (or not-so-surprising) result?
Prediction: Manchester United 2-0 Queens Park Rangers
