Celebrate the festivities with Disney’s year-end family blockbuster as it serves up an extra-white Christmas

Embracing core elements from Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen, Frozen brings to life a tale of adventure, emotions, laughter and unforgettable characters.

This year-end family extravaganza by Disney weaves a lovely tale about the power of family, the struggles of fear and the true meaning of love.

An Icy Quest

Anna, the fearless optimist, sets off on an epic journey. She teams up with Kristoff, a rugged mountain man, and his loyal reindeer, Sven, to find her sister Elsa. Elsa’s icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.

Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

Elsa’s inability to handle her power to create snow and ice is revealed during her childhood. Elsa’s magic delights young Anna and the girls create a snowman, whom they name “Olaf”.

But the magic gets out of Elsa’s control and injures Anna, causing Elsa to live each day in fear that she’ll hurt Anna again.

Family to Overcome Fear

Elsa has isolated herself from society and spends every waking moment trying to suppress her powers. Her mounting emotions and inability to control her powers accidentally set of an eternal winter in Arendelle which sets the scene for this epic tale of fear, love and the powerful bonds of family ties.

Jennifer Lee, a director and the screenplay writer, says, “We realised that fear is so often the very thing that gives us a negative outlook that threatens our relationships.”

“Every single scene, in its own way, supports our themes of family and love, and real love versus fear. And it is fear that drives Elsa and, in turn, love that drives Anna,” she says.
