How do you know when a popstar is enjoying her performance? She goes all out to have fun with her songs and the audience - and she means it.

Despite having only an hour and 20 minutes last night, Minogue put on a dazzling display of dramatic costumes and cheeky conversation, topping some of the headliners that previously reigned on the Singapore Grand Prix Padang Stage.

Old is gold

Although Minogue kicked off her night with her newer songs, she knew that her older works still remain a bigger hit with her audience.

“I want to test something out with you guys,” she teased. “I don’t know if you know my older songs.”

Of course we do. It took just the strum of the first chord for fans to begin cheering and belting out the lyrics to “I Should Be So Lucky”. She didn’t even have to ask, but still she did, and the audience gladly chimed the chorus.

Minogue knew how to work the crowd, getting them pumped up with classic party favourites like “Can’t Get You Outta My Head”, “On A Night Like This” and “Celebrate”.

“I can’t believe you guys know that song!” She proclaimed in surprise after finishing “Can’t Get You Outta My Head”. “That song is old. You know what? No – That song is young!”
