3. Singapore netizens band together to support struggling restaurant

The next time you feel like social media can’t actually do any real good, remember this: When a Singapore twitter user tweeted about Washoku Cafe, a Japanese fusion restaurant in Potong Pasir that’s struggling, the tweet went viral and lots of people paid a visit to the restaurant with their friends and family, driving up the business! According to them, the food is great and so is the service. Keep the eatery’s business going strong by checking it out yourself!

4. Norway bans fur farming

By 2025, all the fox and mink farms in Norway will be shut down, after the government pledged a complete ban on fur farming in early January 2018. As one of the world’s largest producer of fox fur, Norway would put a stop to the killing of around a million foxes and minks annually with this ban. Great job, Norway! We hope other countries will follow suit soon.
