The Beautex “Life is Beautiful” Art Competition saw families coming in droves for a chance to win attractive prizes

Last Saturday, hordes of families with young children came down to Palawan Beach in Sentosa to participate in the Beautex “Life is Beautiful” Art Competition.

The children had a chance for their designs to be featured on Beautex tissue boxes and to win prizes. The children were supposed to draw their version of Sentosa with the theme “Life is Beautiful”, on the official submission sheets, an hour before the end of the event.

Six children would be picked from two categories (Category A – Primary 1-3; Category B – Primary 4-6) to be the winners.

When guests arrived, they were greeted by the Canon-Weekender photo stand. Photos were printed out for free with
the Canon Selphy CP910 Compact Photo Printer.

Despite sudden rain, the children remained cheerful, painting and drawing colourful imagery. The winning artworks would be printed on the special edition tissue boxes from Beautex and every pack sold would raise 20 cents for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.

The winners either won the Sentosa Little Explorers Party (worth $599), a Canon IXUS 145 and Canon Selphy CP910 Compact Photo Printer (worth $348), or the Sentosa Family Islander + Sentosa Choice Playpass for 2 Adults and 2 Children (worth $215).
