The show stars some of South Korea’s biggest actors, including Park Hae-soo and Wi Ha-joon and Lee Jung-Jae, who plays the character Seong Gi-Hun. In the show, a group of 456 people who are all struggling financially are invited to play a life-threatening survival competition where the winner walks away 45.6 billion won.

2. What is “Go to Mojito and Have a Glass of Maldives”?

Lee Byung Hun starred as the “Squid Game” frontman who oversaw all matters regarding the game, but his identity was only revealed at the end of the series. The quote is actually an iconic line from Inside Men, a film that’s also led by Lee Byung Hun! The popularity of the film made Lee’s line, “Let’s have a Maldives at mojito,” into one of the top catchphrases of the year.
