5 Noteworthy Films To Catch At This Year’s Mexican Film Festival

Of film noir, comedy, love and the bleakness of life

Back in its third year running, the Mexican Film Festival will be held at The Projector from 1 to 4 Jun.

Taking a darker turn this year, the festival will feature thought-provoking films such as Bleak Street, which takes a comedic look at the lives of sex workers.

Curated by The Projector and presented in partnership with the The Embassy of Mexico in Singapore, the festival will present some of Mexico’s most refreshing cinematic voices.

5. Mr Pig

In Diego Luna’s second English feature, he tackles the issues of family and transcendence as a father attempts again to bond with his daughter as they venture on a trip across states together with a symbolic pig.
