12. Be amongst beautiful tulips
From now until 13 May, Gardens by the Bay’s Tulipmania makes a return for its sixth edition at the Flower Dome, featuring over 90,000 tulips of more than 40 varieties in a myriad of colours from the Netherlands, including the classic-looking Yellow Flight, the two-tone Holland Queen in vivid yellow and red, and the flamboyant Irene Parrot with its feather-like curled petals. And for that added whimsical spin, the tulips are displayed in a sleepy town inhabited by gentle giants, where you’ll see these mystical beings revelling in Mother Nature. In conjunction with Tulipmania, visitors can enjoy free guided tours of the tulip display, sign up for a tulip-themed floral cupcake workshop, and stand a chance to win air tickets to Amsterdam or Bali by participating in an Instagram contest organised by Gardens by the Bay and official airline partner KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Seniors residing in Singapore enjoy 50% discount on admission tickets.
