3. Enjoy a gastronomic week in celebration of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards

With Singapore set to host the World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards 2019 in the upcoming week, a whole host of events will be carried out to celebrate this gastronomic fiesta – and if you are a foodie, you definitely shouldn’t miss out on any of these! Some of the biggest names in the culinary scene – such as Massimo Bottura of Osteria Francescana, the current No.1 in the 2018 list; Gaggan Anand of Gaggan, four-time winner of The Best Restaurant in Asia; and youngest-ever elit™ Vodka World’s Best Female Chef Daniela Soto-Innes – will be arriving on our shores, and you’ll get the chance to learn from them, and even try their creations without flying overseas, thanks to a series of masterclasses, live discussions, and collaborative dinners.

Hear some of the top chefs in the scene share more about their careers and discuss their philosophies regarding respect, mindfulness and happiness in #50BestTalks: Kitchen Karma, a 90-minute stage show and live discussion featuring French chef Eric Ripert of Le Bernadin in New York, the 2017 World’s Best Female Chef Ana Roš and Tetsuya Wakuda of Waku Ghin, Massimo Bottura and Daniela Soto-Innes. Held at Sands Expo & Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands on 23rd June 2019, Sunday from 6.30 to 8pm; tickets are priced from S$100 each.

Witness culinary talents craft dishes before your eyes with the 50 Best Masterclasses, one of the signature events of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Chefs featured are Rasmus Kofoed, who will be demonstrating Scandinavian cuisine; Virgilio Martínez and Pía León, the husband-and-wife team behind Central in Lima, Peru; and the famed Gaggan Anand, whose eponymous restaurant in Bangkok has topped the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list a whopping four times! Masterclasses will be held at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre. Tickets are priced at S$150 each, and are available here.

There will also be chef collaboration menus, where world-acclaimed chefs collaborate with some of our local talents to cook up a storm of exquisite treats. The line-up includes: Atelier Crenn, Mirazur and Alléno Paris au Pavillon Ledoyen with Odette (dinner on Sunday 23rd June); Quintonil with CUT by Wolfgang Puck at Marina Bay Sands (dinner on Sunday 23rd June), and Schloss Schauenstein with Corner House (lunch on Tuesday 25th June).
