1. Jewel Changi Airport is finally open

Jewel Changi Airport (Jewel), the multi-dimensional tourist destination, that has been the talk of the town in the past few weeks, has finally opened to the public on 17 April 2019.

Designed by Safdie Architects, as well as architects from RSP Architects Planners and Engineers and Benoy, Jewel features a distinct dome-shaped façade made of glass and steel. The beautifully lush Forest Valley and Rain Vortex that you’ve likely seen on Instagram and the news are the centerpieces in the complex, surrounded by over 280 retail stores and dining places.

Members of both Changi Rewards and CapitaStar loyalty programmes, look forward to Jewel’s Double Rewards programme! With this rewards scheme, you can earn both Changi Rewards points and STAR$ with each transaction at Jewel.

It’s also convenient to get to Jewel: apart from the Changi Airport MRT station, there are several bus services operating at Terminals 1, 2 and 3; with the former linked to Jewel via the Level 1 Arrival Hall, while T2 and T3 are linked to Jewel via air-conditioned pedestrian linkways. The new T1 & Jewel car park, which opened partially in November 2018, is also now fully operational! Drivers should note that Basement 2M and 2 of the car park are meant for short-term parking, and the charges are 4 cents per minute for the first 90 minutes and $5 per 30-minute block thereafter.
