Saying goodbye to old spaces

Disappearing places strike a chord with Ang. “I’m sad that many iconic places are gone. Though I understand [Singapore is small and] that we’re short on space, I feel they should preserve one or two of these historic buildings for memory’s sake.”

If Ang could have her way, she would insist on “closing-down” tours. “One day, I drove by and realised Queenstown Prison was gone! How come nobody tell me? [sic] I would have wanted a peek. They should allow the public to visit these buildings or spaces before they are torn down.”
