This festive season, there are plenty of reasons to visit Changi Airport, even if you’re not catching a flight out
From now until 5 January 2018, Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 Departure Hall welcomes Hello Kitty and her Sanrio friends into its aviation abode, which has since transformed into a Mystical Garden for Christmas. Aside from its festive facade of fairy lights and shrubbery dusted with faux snow, the garden offers a flurry of exciting activities and performances that will surely delight travellers and visitors alike.
Here are some highlights you should look out for:
Japanese-style fun and games for all
Located at T3’s Departure Hall Check-In Row 11, Sanrio activity park beckons with a variety of fun games and activities for the little ones.
Tree House Catcher
Remember those giap giap machines at the arcade where you had to fish for your favourite plushies? Upsize that game experience and turn into a human crane yourself at the Tree House Catcher! Suspend yourself in mid-air, while your best friend controls the remote to direct you to pick up a gift from the gift pool, with the top prize being a one-metre tall Sanrio character plush toy.
Mystical Maze
Apart from the action-packed crane machine, visitors can also ‘fish’ for water balloons at the Yoyo Tsuri Fountain, get their faces painted in Sanrio designs, or tackle the challenging Mystical Maze to win some super adorable prizes like exclusive Sanrio stickers and luggage tags.
To play, simply save your dining and shopping receipts at the airport. Every receipt with a minimum spending of $30 gets you one game play.
The same receipts also entitles you a free tote bag (limited pieces; 60 on weekdays and 100 on weekends), which can be used at the stamping station.
