Plaza Singapura is always set out to improve itself when it comes to entertaining its shoppers. You may recall the most exciting time of 2013, when the shopping mall was given an extension of a three-story wing that is completely bedecked with an array of more shopping and dining outlets. This July, Plaza Singapura has upgraded itself once more by introducing a new wave of culinary concepts, including pancake house Slappy Cakes, home-grown chain cafe Joe & Dough, the highly anticipated Isaac Toast and the famous Malaysian Nam Kee Pau.

1. Slappy Cakes 

Yes! Slappy Cakes is here at Plaza Singapura. You need not travel out of the way to Turf City or Resorts World Sentosa to get your pancake cravings fixed. Originating from Portland, Oregon in the United States, this DIY breakfast spot provides diners with a hands-on, entertaining dining experience where you can get your creativity going by making pancakes of all shapes and sizes.

The freshly made batters, come in easy-to-handle squeezable bottles, so all you need to do is – turn, squeeze. flip and you are on the way to some delectable pancakes! Apart from their current assortment of flavours– Whole Grain, the original Buttermilk, Peanut Butter, Chocolate, there is a Singapore exclusive Pandan-flavoured batter for fans to indulge in a more local affair. These batters are available from $8.50 each and there is also a wide range of sweet and savoury toppings (starting from $1.50), including chocolate chips, banana, sausage, bacon, blueberries, and a lot more.

To spice up your visit, the Slappy Cakes at Plaza Singapura is also the first to offer the mains including Seafood Aglio Olio ($16), Beef Goulash ($25) (above), Old Fashion Breaded Pollock ($18) and the Braised Lamb Shank ($28), just to name a few.
