Get up close with botanical watercolour illustrations

Hilton Singapore’s Verde Kitchen has announced an exclusive collaboration with botanic artist Lucinda Law from Within Studio, where the restaurant will be hosting its first ever botanical watercolour illustrations exhibition.

A mix of locally grown and organic ingredients from Verde Kitchen such as pineapples, bananas, avocados, mushroom, and carrots will be displayed, as well as Lucinda’s favourite botanical subjects. The paintings are on sale, with 10% of the profits going to charity group, Food from the Heart, an organization that reaches out to the less-fortunate and brighten their lives by alleviating hunger through a food distribution programme and bringing joy through the distribution of toys and birthday celebrations.

In addition to the exhibition, Verde Kitchen will also be hosting an “Art & Dine” botanical art workshop on Saturday 28 April 2018. Conducted by Lucinda, the exclusive three-hour botanical workshop will centre around illustrating and painting in watercolour and mixed media.

The workshop will begin with a private tour of the vertical garden at Hilton Singapore led by Executive Chef Vijayakant Shanmugam for guests to seek some inspiration. Returning to the ‘classroom’ at Verde Kitchen, Lucinda will show you how to illustrate and paint a mix of exquisite edible botanical subjects in both mixed media and watercolour. Sumptuous refreshments from Verde Kitchen after the workshop will conclude the session on a delicious note.
