Animal cafes are popping up all over, and it's not just a trend on our little red dot. All over the world, city dwellers who can't afford to own a pet for various reasons (lack of space, economic concerns...) are finding it easier to head to the nearest pet cafe and sayang their favourite animal. All the cuddly cuteness and love, without the responsibility and stress of having to care for a living creature.

Oia Cafe more than makes up for its less than central location on the outskirts of Taipei with its fluffy alpacas. The cafe has a substantial menu, but feeding the alpacas with carrots slices and snapping a million selfies with these furry residents is definitely much more fun! As only a few alpacas are allowed into the cafe at any one time, remember to walk out to the small farm just beside to visit the rest of them.
