8. Opening of Libraries and Archives
With effect from 4 January 2021, National Library will further increase the operating capacity in 26 public libraries, the National Archives of Singapore and the Former Ford Factory. Furthermore, they will also lift the existing dwell time limits on weekdays. As a result, patrons will be able to enjoy their physical facilities for extended periods on weekdays, without the need to book online.
For instance, on Saturdays and Sundays, patrons can visit up to two hours for all other public libraries. What’s more, patrons can visit up to 3 hours for National Library, regional libraries (in Jurong, Tampines and Woodlands), the National Archives of Singapore and the Study Lounge at Level 5 of the National Library Building.
For visits during weekends, you are encouraged to make online bookings at https://go.gov.sg/library-visit-booking for your preferred slots.
