5 Spectacular Sights at i Light Marina Bay 2017

This year’s edition brings twists to its light art installations and festival activities

On evenings from 3-26 Mar, the Marina Bay waterfront promenade will burst into a symphony of light and festivities as part of the annual i Light Marina Bay.

Beyond the 20 light art installations by artists from around the globe - and the yummy pop-up finds along the water's edge - this year’s festival will feature even more activities, through which the public can also contribute to community causes.

5. Merlion gets a makeover

As the evening fades into night, head out onto the bay to see the iconic Merlion bathed in a magical illumination. “The Body of the Sea”, by the Danny Rose Collective from France, will create an extraordinary flowing dress for the Merlion made out of matter from the sea.

See the Merlion decked out various ‘outfits’ from a literal coral dress to a surreal skin of fish, shells and other marine creatures.
