4. Spotlight on migrant workers’ artistic talents

Have you heard the creative works by our migrant workers? Many migrant workers have been participating in annual poetry competitions, and they have recently put their talents into writing and performing plays. At this year’s Festival, you have a chance to see what they have created so far. Drop by Laselle’s Lowercase Café on 15 July, 1pm, for “Migrant Stories: A Reading With BIRDS,” where BIRDS, a group of migrant workers from Indonesia, Bangladesh and the Philippines, will be sharing readings from short plays they have written.
