9. Sing along to music by local artistes

Did you know that our Singapore Police Force (SPF) has a musical quintet? They’ve even gone international since their founding in 1996, performing at music festivals in Indonesia, Germany and Canada! Don’t miss this chance to catch the unique group live for free at the Esplanade Concourse, 7:30pm and 8:30pm on 9 August! They will also be performing on 10 August, at 7:15pm and 8pm. The SPF quintet is just one of the many local artists showcased at the Esplanade’s annual Red Dot August, which offers many free live shows throughout the month. Continue your musical night after the SPF quintet with rising soul singer Nick Zavior’s performance at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre, 8:45pm on 9 August.

Rather chill out at home, or hosting your own National Day party? One of the magical delights of music is that you can enjoy it anywhere! To get you grooving to nostalgic bops right away, Spotify has specially created a “We Are Singapore” playlist filled with our favourite National Day songs and old-school tunes.
