Ever wondered what mealtime in a prison is like? How about at the women’s prison Litchfield Penitentiary – from “Orange is the New Black” – where things get rather… Interesting (to say the least)?

From 16-17 Jun, you can get your fill of Litchfield-inspired grub for free at OverEasy Orchard, created by local chef Bjorn Shen (from Artichoke and Bird Bird).

Assemble with your fellow inmates and stay hydrated with a complimentary cup of the refreshing house beverage: Water.

Look out for Bjorn’s take on the notorious “Nutraloaf”, the penitentiary “classic” that takes three meals and blends them into one.

To help you survive your Litchfield experience, here are some tips – make of these what you will:

  1. Don’t eat the pudding.
  2. Check under the trays. Don’t let the guards see you.
  3. And do not under any circumstance criticise your food – unless you’re fine with a little “extra ingredients” in your next dish.

Bookings are available via Chope for lunch (12pm-2pm) and dinner (7pm-10pm). Walk-in seats are limited as prison overcrowding is a concern.
